I was shocked to learn from Reuters that thousands of federal agents who normally investigate child abuse, money laundering, drug trafficking, and tax fraud are now being reassigned to focus on mass deportation. That’s just wrong! The Trump administration’s obsession with mass deportation is dangerous and irrational. They’re making us less safe—including our children—just to target immigrants who contribute nearly $100 billion in taxes and Social Security each year and play vital roles in key industries. Instead of going after serious crimes, they’re shifting resources to indiscriminate immigration arrests and even digging into private tax returns. This hurts both America’s values and our safety. It needs to stop. This isn’t who we are, and frankly, it’s just bad policy. Let’s protect our kids and keep federal agents focused on real crime, not targeting immigrants. Thanks.
