President Trump promised in 2025 to steer clear of foreign business deals. Instead, his company has signed new agreements with Qatari Diar—a firm owned by the Qatari government—and a UAE-linked developer building Trump Tower in Dubai (New York Times, April 2025). These deals directly contradict his own pledge and raise serious concerns about foreign influence on U.S. policy.
This is not a partisan issue. Presidents must be held to basic ethical standards, regardless of party. When a sitting president profits from projects backed by foreign governments, it undermines public trust and risks national security. Both Republicans and Democrats have previously supported transparency and anti-corruption measures for good reason.
I urge you to demand a full ethics investigation. The American people deserve to know whether the presidency is being used for personal enrichment. No one—especially not the President—is above scrutiny.
