I am writing to express my profound dismay regarding the ongoing, embarrassing efforts by the administration to force a territorial acquisition of Greenland from Denmark.
I shouldn't ever have to say this to my elected officials, but here we are: Leave Greenland alone.
Rather than treating a close NATO partner with basic diplomatic respect, the United States is currently resorting to aggressive bullying, economic extortion, and volatile threats to attempt to force a sovereign ally into a real estate transaction. Threatening to pull American troops out of Europe and levy massive tariffs over a territorial whim is not diplomacy—it is a reckless, public temper tantrum.
This behavior directly undermines our national security, fractures the core trust of the alliance, and makes the United States look utterly ridiculous on the world stage.
As my representative, I expect you to publicly reject this absurd distraction and focus on actual, pressing national security issues. I request a formal reply detailing your stance on this matter.
