Do not cut funding to public media

To: Sen. Marshall, Sen. Moran

From: A verified voter in Leawood, KS

July 16

Public broadcasters provide crucial educational, news and cultural programming that enriches communities across the nation. Cutting over $500 million in annual federal funding would severely undermine the ability of local stations to serve their audiences. Public media plays a vital role in keeping citizens informed, representing diverse voices, and offering high-quality children's content that prepares young minds for success. Preserving robust public broadcasting is in the public interest. I urge you to reject this proposal that would devastate local stations and diminish access to noncommercial media for millions of Americans. Public media is a national resource that strengthens society - it deserves Congress' full support, not draconian funding cuts that threaten its very existence. Vote to protect this invaluable service that elevates communities through enriching content and invaluable educational resources.
