Trump's actions since taking office demonstrate a blatant disregard for the Constitution and rule of law. He has repeatedly abused his power, violating foundational principles like the separation of powers and system of checks and balances. By pardoning insurrectionists, stripping citizenship from critics, firing government watchdogs, and usurping state and Congressional authority, Trump seeks to rule as an authoritarian rather than a democratically-elected president. His conduct poses an existential threat to American democracy. Congress has a solemn duty to rein in this lawlessness through impeachment proceedings. Trump's offenses are too numerous and egregious to ignore. Impeachment is vital to uphold the Constitution and preserve our democratic system of government.
