I am writing to demand an investigation into President Trump’s blatant misuse of office to promote Tesla and benefit Elon Musk, who heads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). At a recent White House event, Trump publicly backed Tesla, announced a doubling of production (which Tesla had already announced), and positioned Musk as a key ally—all while Tesla’s stock was struggling. This appears to be a coordinated effort to boost Musk’s financial interests using government resources.
Legal & Ethical Concerns
• Abuse of Power – The presidency should not be used to promote private businesses, especially those tied to administration officials.
• Hatch Act & Ethics Violations – If government staff facilitated this event, it could violate ethics laws (5 U.S.C. §§ 7321-7326, 101-111).
• Securities Fraud & Market Manipulation – If Trump’s statements knowingly misled markets (15 U.S.C. §§ 78i, 78j, 78ff), this warrants investigation.
• Emoluments Clause Violation – Using public office to benefit Musk without oversight could be unconstitutional.
Trump may try to claim presidential immunity, but that does not make this legal—immunity applies to official duties, not private endorsements for political donors.
Congress Must Act
By failing to stop this continuous abuse of power, Congress becomes complicit in it. I urge you to investigate this corruption. The presidency should serve the people, not billionaires looking for a stock rebound. Stop Trump’s White House for Sale Scheme—Investigate Now!
