Why Are You Silent While Federal Employees Are Under Attack?

I am writing to ask a simple question: Why are you allowing Russell Vought and this administration to continue harming federal employees and dismantling the agencies that serve the American people?
It is time for members of Congress to stand up and speak out.
Recent reports describe a lawsuit alleging that the Treasury Department and the Department of Health and Human Services failed to timely process reasonable accommodation requests for employees with disabilities, leaving some workers waiting more than a year for decisions while others exhausted their leave or saw their need for accommodation pass before receiving a response. If these allegations are true, they represent a profound failure to treat federal employees with the dignity and respect they deserve. These are not political issues—they are basic issues of fairness, humanity, and compliance with the law.
Federal employees dedicate their careers to serving the public. They process Social Security claims, care for our veterans, protect public health, collect taxes, keep our transportation systems safe, and perform countless other essential services. Instead of being supported, they have been subjected to constant attacks, shrinking resources, uncertainty, and policies that erode the government’s ability to serve the American people effectively.
Congress has a constitutional responsibility to provide oversight of the executive branch. Silence in the face of actions that weaken federal agencies and harm public servants is not leadership. If you believe federal employees deserve to be treated fairly, then now is the time to say so publicly and act accordingly.
I urge you to speak out against policies that undermine the federal workforce, demand accountability when agencies fail to meet their legal obligations, and defend the dedicated public servants who keep our government functioning every day.
Federal employees deserve respect, not hostility. They deserve competent leadership, not chaos. Most importantly, the American people deserve a government that is adequately staffed and able to fulfill its mission.
Please stand up for your constituents, for the federal workforce, and for the institutions that millions of Americans rely on every day.
