I am a constituent in Fishers, zip code 46037, and I’m writing today about the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard. I believe she is dangerously unqualified and has the potential to be vulnerable to conspiracy theories and disinformation. She also has no relevant experience in intelligence or agency management. The Senate must exercise its advise and consent authority by thoroughly vetting this frivolous nominee, along with Mr. Trump’s other unqualified and potentially dangerous nominees. Aside from Ms. Gabbard’s glaring lack of intelligence experience, her past statements about Russia and her interactions with Syria indicate that she is at best erratic, and at worst misaligned with US intelligence priorities. She has defended dictators, blamed NATO for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, and she has zero relevant experience. Ms. Gabbard is not a serious person and not a qualified candidate for DNI. Please do not put our country at risk by confirming this inexperienced person.
