I am really concerned by the layoffs in the department of education, especially in the special education department. As a parent of several kids adopted from the Foster Care System, I know that 504s and IEPs are crucial for these children to get the education they need. Our government needs to be caring for the next generation. Our children matter. The department of education is crucial to ensuring our future generations will be equipped to handle adulthood.
