Investigate Potential Ethics and Securities Law Violations
To: Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman
From: A verified voter in Conshohocken, PA
July 6
I am writing to urge you to support a thorough, independent investigation into recent reports that President Trump’s investment accounts made extensive stock trades around major tariff announcements that significantly moved financial markets. According to recent reporting, many of these trades were not publicly disclosed within the timeframe required by federal ethics law, raising serious questions about compliance, transparency, and potential conflicts of interest.
Regardless of political party, no public official should be above the law. If securities laws, ethics rules, or disclosure requirements were violated by President Trump or any other government official, those responsible should be held fully accountable. Public confidence in our government depends on equal enforcement of the law and meaningful oversight.
I urge you to press for a complete investigation and to support any appropriate legal or congressional action warranted by the facts.
Thank you for your service and your attention to this matter.
