Reconsider blanket terminations, prioritize evidence over ideology

To: Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Deluzio, Sen. McCormick

Indiscriminately laying off federal workers, especially those in critical areas like medical research, data analysis, and civil rights enforcement, is short-sighted and damaging. These mass firings of probationary employees appear to be more about pushing an ideological agenda than improving government efficiency. There are undoubtedly ways to streamline operations and reallocate resources more effectively, but losing skilled professionals and undermining vital programs is counterproductive. I urge you to reconsider these blanket terminations and instead pursue reforms through a thorough, evidence-based review that prioritizes safeguarding essential services for the American people over political motivations. The public workforce should serve all citizens, not partisan interests.
