Subject: A National Tesla-Modeled, Federally Funded Database for Autonomous Systems and Robotic Intelligence — Protecting Homeland Security Through Transparency To: Department of Homeland Security, Office of Policy; Members of the United States Congress; House Committee on Homeland Security; Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation Dear Homeland Security Officials and Members of Congress, I am writing about the rapid expansion of autonomous vehicles, aviation systems, drones, and robotics into everyday American life. As these technologies become common in our communities and across the world, I am calling for action. Without a shared, transparent, federally overseen data model, there is no reliable way to ensure that no one is programming harmful intent into self-driving cars, drones, or other autonomous systems that move and act on their own. I am requesting that Congress consider legislation to establish: One. A single National Data Model Center, modeled on the system Tesla uses internally, but built and funded as a federal government project. Two. A mandatory networked database that every manufacturer of autonomous systems must connect to. Three. Homeland Security and federal tech oversight operating through one transparent central hub — to monitor safety, detect anomalies, verify that systems are not being used to cause harm, and ensure accountability against threats. Four. A clear twenty-year federal contract guaranteeing locked-in transparency and public trust. This system must be transparent enough for public accountability. Ordinary citizens should be able to verify that all companies are actually plugged into the one system, that real logs exist showing safety checks were performed, and that no single company can hide what its robots or vehicles are programmed to do. At the same time, Homeland Security would retain control over sensitive security protocols. Establishing this now — before these technologies are fully deployed worldwide — will prevent misuse and build the public trust that lasting security requires. Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter of national importance.
