BAAJA is a bad bill and It needs to be changed before you vote on it. Granted, it has some good things like making data centers pay the full cost of connecting to the grid, but it also has some BAD things: - It lets federal agencies decide about energy projects - like mining - without consulting tribes or local and state government. - It would loosen environmental review, and loans and loan guarantees would be exempt from NEPA and historic preservation views. And there is lots more in the bill that causes concern. - It reduces necessary requirements from the Clean Water Act. All these things and more come right out of the MAGA playbook. Please take all the anti-environmental things out of the bill before voting on it. Thank you.
