The data is clear: protect gender-affirming care for transgender youth and stop letting political pressure override medical evidence. A Kansas judge just reviewed two days of expert testimony and found that 99.2% of patients who received gender-affirming care continued to identify as transgender into adulthood. Of the remaining 0.8%, most did not regret their treatment. These are not confused kids. They know who they are.
What's happening in Texas is a warning. Texas Children's Hospital — which called the lawsuit against it "wrought with falsehoods" — was forced to settle anyway, fire five physicians, and open a detransition clinic for a patient population that barely exists. That's not medicine. That's political intimidation dressed up as policy. Judge Folsom's 117-page ruling in Kansas found that experts supporting the ban cherry-picked evidence and let personal views override science. Legislators are doing the same thing.
Trans kids grow into trans adults. The evidence supports their care. Vote against any measure that restricts access to gender-affirming treatment for minors, and push back on efforts to punish the providers who give it.
