Gentlemen,
Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently made an unannounced visit to the Everglades detention center, nicknamed Alligator Alcatraz. She found it to be overcrowded, fetid and filthy and those detained in poor condition , often beaten and being fed outdated meals. This is only one of these ICE facilities, we all know there are more.
As an US citizen, a combat veteran and a father/grandfather I have never been so disgusted with my congressional representatives in my 81 years of living as I am at this time. You are allowing this, all of you and your colleagues are responsible because you are not stopping this. The amount of money being wasted is shameful, private companies profiting from these human beings suffering, money being spent on acquiring warehouses to house more unfortunates and we all know that these people are not the worst of the worst.
It’s time the representatives of Indiana stood up and put a stop to all this. History will record this sad and despicable period, worse then the Japanese internment and you as members of Congress will forever be tainted for allowing this to happen on your watch!!
DO SOMETHING NOW!!! Please do something, please.
