Vote to fund TSA immediately and strip ICE of the billions it received last summer in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. TSA workers have missed paychecks for six weeks while ICE sits on massive funding. More than 300 TSA officers have quit, and those still working are being replaced by untrained ICE agents who have no business operating airport security. ICE agents lack training to run X-ray machines or conduct proper security screening. Their presence at airports serves one purpose: immigration enforcement against travelers. Deploying agents who wear masks during enforcement operations to screen American families is dangerous and wrong. TSA workers are trained security professionals. They deserve their paychecks, not replacement by an agency designed for deportation. The solution is simple. Pass a DHS funding bill that pays TSA workers and defunds ICE. ICE received billions while TSA goes unfunded. That's backwards. Americans need functioning airports with trained security personnel, not immigration agents prowling terminals. Fund the agency that keeps flights safe and defund the one terrorizing communities.
