Vote NO on the confirmation of Vought! I am writing to strongly urge you to oppose the confirmation of Russell Vought to lead the Office of Management and Budget. His prior tenure as OMB Director was marked by extreme partisanship, and his current association with Project 2025 raises grave concerns about the future of our democracy. Vought has openly advocated for dismantling essential government programs and weaponizing federal agencies to serve an ideological agenda. His leadership of the Center for Renewing America has been dedicated to laying the groundwork for a radical restructuring of the federal government—one that prioritizes political loyalty over democratic governance. Through Project 2025, he has played a key role in crafting a blueprint to consolidate executive power, gut civil service protections, and impose extremist policies that would undermine the checks and balances that safeguard our democracy. His confirmation would pave the way for a government that serves ideology over the American people. OMB plays a crucial role in ensuring responsible, effective governance. It must be led by someone committed to sound fiscal management and democratic principles, not by an ideologue intent on reshaping government to entrench authoritarian control. I urge you to vote NO on Russell Vought’s confirmation and to stand for a government that works for all Americans, not just the most extreme factions. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response.
