Where are the Epstein files???

To: Sen. Banks, Rep. Houchin, Sen. Young

From: A verified voter in Bloomington, IN

January 27

I am writing as your constituent to express deep concern regarding the Department of Justice’s failure to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. As you are aware, the legal deadline for the full release of these files was December 19, 2025. Yet, as of January 2026, reports indicate that the DOJ has released less than 1% of the millions of pages in its possession. While the department cites the scale of necessary redactions to protect victims as the reason for the delay, this lack of transparency is unacceptable to the American public and a betrayal of the survivors seeking justice. I am requesting that you take the following actions: 1 Demand a Timeline: Pressure the DOJ to provide a clear, public schedule for the release of the remaining millions of documents. 2 Support Oversight: Back efforts by colleagues, such as Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie, who are seeking independent monitors or legislative means to force DOJ compliance. 3 Inquire into Redactions: Ensure that redactions are strictly limited to protecting victims’ identities, as the law requires, and are not being used to shield powerful individuals from accountability. The American people deserve the full truth. I look forward to hearing how you and your office intend to hold the Department of Justice accountable to the law.
