Return Palantir's Money and Cut Ties With ICE's Surveillance Contractor
To: Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray

Return the Palantir money. Palantir executives have donated over $1.3 million to current members of Congress, including roughly $880,000 to 67 Democrats. That money comes from a company that builds the surveillance and data infrastructure powering ICE's detention machine — a system where 62% of the 48 people who died in ICE custody between January 2025 and April 2026 were held in for-profit facilities.
This isn't a gray area. Palantir profits from mass detention and provides AI systems used in Gaza. Reps. Krishnamoorthi, Khanna, Pat Ryan, Ritchie Torres, Jason Crow, and Sen. Hickenlooper have already pledged to refuse or return these donations. National Nurses United, representing 225,000 members, is demanding the same. The argument that accepting "legal, transparent" contributions changes nothing doesn't hold when the donor's business model depends on the policies you're supposed to be checking. Disavow Palantir, return the contributions, and make clear you won't be funded by companies that profit from human suffering.
