I urge you to impeach HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for undermining public health and scientific integrity. His authoritarian leadership has created chaos, directly threatening American lives and scientific progress. Kennedy fired CDC Director Susan Monarez for refusing to endorse unscientific vaccine recommendations, leading to a mass exodus of CDC leadership during a critical public health period. He also terminated over 780 NIH research grants, including those on vaccination and LGBTQ+ health, stalling approximately $1.5 billion in vital medical research. On a personal note, I am a PhD student and gravely concerned about the future of science in the US, as well as my own job prospects. This is already causing “brain drain”, and RFK’s policies will result in the crippling of American scientific progress for decades to come. Nine former CDC directors state Kennedy is "endangering the health of Americans." Congress must act. Please prioritize constituents' health and safety, and American scientific supremacy, by holding Secretary Kennedy accountable. Our public health infrastructure cannot withstand his continued attacks.
