This evening, I contact you in SUPPORT if you signing the discharge petition that has been introduced in the House, that specifically protects Medicaid and SNAP. As a Republican constituent, there is no reason we cannot protect these items for the American public. Many of your constituents who are hard working Americans depend on these, and our family has also been recipients. Medicaid and SNAP offered health insurance and healthy food when an expensive policy wouldn't cover pregnancy services for me. I was working full time, but had yet to be hired permanently. My husband was a full time student at the time, finishing his course work. Now, we are both employed, as are our grown children. We no longer use these services but they did exactly what they were meant to. Offer a hand up, versus a hand out. I look forward to hearing that you have signed this discharge petition.
