I am writing to you again to express concern for a different, innocent man who has been unlawfully removed to the El Salvador concentration camp. Merwil Gutierrez is a teen from Guatemala without a criminal record or gang ties, who was pursuing an asylum case. He was picked up by accident, and then shipped to El Salvador anyway. This is appalling and must be stopped. I am also deeply concerned about the president’s comment that he wants to send citizens there. Please get bold and get loud. None of us are safe. This is truly a defining moment for our country. I urge you to please get creative and rally your colleagues. Thank you.
