An Open Letter

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick, Rep. Meuser

From: A constituent in Palmyra, PA

July 25

I'm contacting you today to urge you to read and understand the "Genius Act" more thoroughly before considering a vote on it. This act does not appear to be in the best interest of the American people, certainly not the "common person." While most Republicans would likely support this, I am a regular person, and I want access to a national currency. If I'm understanding this correctly, this act would allow similar "scrip" payments from companies. We have seen how well that did not work before. Many more people in poverty, stuck in near-slavery-like conditions, which definitely doesn't benefit the American economy. I do not support any action that takes more rights from the average American worker and hands it to the few who have created fortunes off the backs of others. These same people cannot be trusted to treat their employees fairly or safely, which is why many of our current labor laws exist in the first place. I am requesting, as a constituent, that you DO NOT support the "Genius Act."
