The construction of the so called “Alligator Alcatraz” to house illegal immigrants is a direct attack on American democracy and freedom. Trump has proclaimed, flippantly, his desire to send American citizens to places like this, and he has brazenly proclaimed his desire to strip citizenship from US citizens. These actions, combined together or taken independently, amount to abject fascism. They mirror the actions the Nazis took against the Jews prior to and during World War II, which resulted in the deaths of millions of people simply because of who they were. Any support for these actions, especially gleefully cheering the cruelty and pain they will cause, is antithetical to American principles and a flagrant violation of the US Constitution.
