Migrants in ICE detention centers across the country are enduring severe mistreatment. Detention centers in Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi have been repeatedly cited in investigative reports for filthy and overcrowded cells, denial of medical care, physical assaults by guards, and retaliation against detainees who speak out. Yet YOU have done nothing so far to rein this in. No hearings. No subpoenas. No accountability. The conditions violate the Constitution, treaty rights, and basic human decency. What is happening in these facilities is nothing short of state-sanctioned cruelty. Every day you fail to investigate is another day people suffer in conditions that are a human rights scandal.
