These essential workers protect millions of Americans every day, yet they are currently reporting to work without compensation. That is unacceptable. TSA employees have rent, mortgages, and families to support. Financial hardship does not pause for budget disputes — and neither does the threat to national security that comes when our frontline workers are demoralized or forced to leave federal service. I ask that you pass emergency legislation to pay TSA employees immediately and pursue a long-term solution that prevents this from happening again. Please act now. These workers have earned it.
