Congressional War Powers Resolution

To: Sen. Padilla, Sen. Schiff, Rep. Panetta

From: A constituent in San Jose, CA

June 17

BREAKING: The Senate will hold a vote to keep the U.S. out of Israel's illegal war of aggression against Iran. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) has introduced a war powers resolution in the Senate which would clarify there is NO authorization for the U.S. to enter the war. Unlike other forms of legislation, the resolution is privileged - meaning it must come up for a vote. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) have introduced a similar war powers resolution as well.  If we can keep the U.S. from formally entering this war, we can deescalate and end this illegal and unprovoked attack on Iran. National Iranian American Council (NIAC) Action is proud to be among the first groups to endorse this critical legislation to prevent a broadening of the war - and to urge Trump to end it.

We demand you to call for the end of hostilities and ask you to cosponsor the Iran War Powers Resolutions in the House and Senate.
