Save public health funding and medical research Did you notice? RFK Jr. is moving forward with the termination of 20,000 public health professionals, has already terminated 1,000 medical research grants, and tried to cut nearly $4 billion in medical research funding. Funding at half of the nation's Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers has been frozen by Trump, Elon Musk, and RFK Jr. and is set to expire in three weeks. These centers have previously been praised by Republicans and Democrats alike for their groundbreaking research. Also, RFK Jr. promoted Vitamin A as a way for parents to treat children infected with the measles instead of promoting vaccinations. As a result, children in Texas are overdosing on Vitamin A and have experienced liver damage, nausea, and vomiting. RFK Jr. should be required to apologize for promoting medical misinformation and call on parents to embrace the proven to be effective measles vaccine. Republicans should demand funding be reinstated for Alzheimer’s research and treatment advancement. Please stand up for our state’s health.
