I believe Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” would create the largest transfer of wealth directly to the extremely rich in recent history. The impact of this bill is unacceptable!
• The CBO determined the bottom decile of Americans by income would lose about $1600; the top 10 decile would gain more than $12,000
• The debt would balloon to 134% of GDP by 2034
• 11 Million people would be removed from Medicaid
• 5 Million removed from the Affordable Care Act exchanges
• SNAP would be reduced by more than $700M
• 4.5 million children would lose eligibility for the Child Tax Credit
• Reductions in energy credits and subsidies would send energy costs soaring, particularly in red states.
• TPS holders or asylum seekers (legal immigrants) would be removed from benefits they have paid in to
• Hospitals dependent on Medicaid reimbursement would go under. This will have a greater impact in rural areas in Red states
• Yale and the University of Pennsylvania estimate an additional 51,000 Americans would die each year.
• Governments increased borrowing costs according to the Washington Post would be crushing “A 1 percent increase in the ratio would amount to extra annual interest costs of $60 for car loans, $600 on the typical mortgage and $1,000 for small business loans after five years, the Budget Lab found. After 30 years, the premium is even higher — adding $2,300 per year to the typical mortgage, for example.”
• President Donald Trump's FY26 budget proposal includes a 43% cut in federal rental assistance, per the National Low Income Housing Coalition.
I am urging you to veto both the reconciliation bill and the rescissions bill or any new laws that include drastic cuts to Medicare and/or SNAP and/or increases our countries’ debt by such a large increase.
Thank you.
