Vote No on SB3752 — The SAVE Act Suppresses Citizen Votes
To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn
From: A verified voter in Frisco, TX
July 20
Vote no on SB3752, the SAVE America Act. This bill doesn't protect elections — it erects bureaucratic barriers that will block millions of eligible citizens from registering to vote while solving a problem that barely exists.
Non-citizen voting in federal elections is already illegal and prosecutions are exceedingly rare. What this bill will actually accomplish is forcing low-income Americans, elderly citizens, and rural residents — people who are citizens but don't have a passport or REAL ID — through a documentation gauntlet just to register. The Supreme Court's ruling in Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council of Arizona already flagged the constitutional problems with this approach, and the bill's own implementation timeline is unworkable: the Election Assistance Commission gets 10 days to issue nationwide guidance for one of the largest changes to federal election law in decades.
This is a voter suppression bill dressed up as election security. Please vote no.
