Investigate and Stop ICE's Voter Suppression Database Demand an immediate investigation into ICE's use of voter registration data to target progressive groups and build what appears to be a voter suppression database. Marc Elias's Democracy Docket has obtained a document showing ICE is being weaponized against organizations registering voters. That is not immigration enforcement. That is election interference using a federal agency as the weapon. This is a direct attack on the right to vote. When a law enforcement agency tracks and targets people for the act of registering citizens to vote, every election that follows is compromised. The midterms are approaching, and former CIA Military Intelligence Analyst Harry Hannah has warned that the strategic intent and capability exist to threaten free and fair elections. That warning deserves a congressional response now, not after the damage is done. Hold hearings. Subpoena the ICE documents. Cut off any funding that enables this program. The right to vote is not a partisan issue, and allowing a federal agency to suppress it in silence makes every member of Congress complicit.
