By refusing to abide by the Supreme Court’s 9-0 decision to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia back to the US, President Trump is openly defying the United States Constitution and violating his oath of office. Our founding fathers put in place the mechanism for dealing with a tyrannical executive branch: impeachment. As my representative in Congress, I am urging you in the absolute strongest terms possible to introduce articles of impeachment. Yes, there will be roadblocks. Yes, conviction in the Senate seems unlikely. That is not the point. We need to force every single member of Congress to show the American people and the world which side they are on: democracy, or tyranny. If you lack the courage to meet this historical moment, then you are unfit for the sacred honor and duty of your office and should resign immediately. This is not a time for cowards. I hope you will make the right decision and do the right thing. Our entire way of life is at stake.
