This "gift" of a used Qatari airplane is a naked grift, an unethical scheme to misappropriate vast taxpayer funds towards the personal vanity and enrichment of a former president. Refurbishing this aircraft would squander hundreds of millions of public dollars on a redundant and unnecessary project, as a new dedicated Air Force One is already in production. Allowing this corruption to proceed unchallenged constitutes a gross dereliction of Congress's duty to the American people as faithful stewards of public finances. This grift must be exposed and terminated decisively.
