I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to restore the HIV, STIs, LGBTQ health, and contraception guidelines and health resources on the CDC website. These evidence-based guidelines are essential for clinicians to provide high-quality care and protect public health. Removing them puts vulnerable populations at risk, reverses decades of progress, and harms communities nationwide. The decision to remove these essential resources was not based on medical or public health reasons, but serves a political agenda at the expense of peoples' lives. These guidelines must be restored immediately to protect and preserve the health of my neighbors and your constituents. The guidelines removed appear to target some of the most marginalized communities and demonstrates a complete lack of concern for the most vulnerable among us. How does that make America healthy again? Thank you for your time and consideration, your action could make a difference between life and death.
