Nationwide, public radio stations are having to cut essential local programs and community services once sustained by federal funding. Federal funding for local public media stations must be included in the FY 2026 appropriations, or more stations could be forced off the air, leaving communities – especially in rural and small town Missouri – without local media and emergency information altogether. Americans overwhelmingly support and rely on local public media stations for connection, learning, and safety. Fight for funding!
