The Trump administration's new passport policies discriminate against transgender, nonbinary, and intersex individuals by denying them accurate identity documents that reflect their true gender identity. This cruel and unnecessary policy change will only push these vulnerable communities out of public life and expose them to further discrimination and violence. Every person deserves the freedom and dignity to live authentically without government overreach dictating their identity. Reversing these anti-trans passport restrictions is a matter of upholding basic civil rights and human decency. I urge you to stand against this harmful policy and protect the rights of your constituents to obtain identity documents that accurately reflect who they are.
