Data Center in Lusby

To: Gov. Moore, Del. Fisher, Sen. Harris

From: A constituent in Chesapeake Beach, MD

February 3

Do not allow a data center to be built in Calvert County. There should be no data centers built near populated areas, which Calvert is. Pick places like North Dakota where there are more square miles than people. There should definitely not be data centers in or close to the critical area of the Chesapeake Bay. We literally have to ask permission to cut down a tree in our back yard for fear of disrupting the bay’s ecosystem. There is no logic to allowing a data center anywhere near it. Please help protect our bay and our human environment from data centers. Our county commissioners have an NDA, never a good idea in governance, in discussions with data center development. We, the people who live here, do not want it. Please help protect our interests.
