This is your weekly reminder that your constituents are watching what is happening to our federal government and to the federal employees who keep this country running. Russell Vought and OPM Director Scott Kupor continue to pursue policies that are dramatically reshaping federal agencies and the federal workforce. These actions have created enormous fear, uncertainty, and disruption for federal employees and the communities that depend on these agencies. Courts have also questioned or blocked multiple administration actions on legal grounds. At some point, you have to decide who you are going to stand up for. Are you going to stand with the people you represent, or are you going to remain silent while this administration continues pushing policies that your constituents believe are harmful and, in some cases, unlawful? Do you care more about what this administration wants, or do you care about the people who elected you? Your constituents need a representative who will actually represent them. That means speaking up when federal agencies are being dismantled, when federal employees are being treated as political targets, and when the administration pushes the boundaries of its legal authority. You were elected to represent your constituents, not to simply follow the administration. And make no mistake: people are paying attention. Your constituents will remember whether you stood up for them when it mattered. Whether you continue to have their support in future elections will ultimately be their decision, just as how you choose to represent them now is yours. I am asking you to start standing up for your constituents and holding this administration accountable.
