Establish a National Human Security Agenda
To: Pres. Trump
From: A verified voter in Dunlap, IL
August 5
I am asking you to make the security and well-being of ordinary Americans the central measurement of national success.
Please propose a National Human Security Agenda that brings together lower health-care and prescription costs, affordable housing construction, family and medical leave, child support, stronger infrastructure, reliable domestic energy, protection from monopoly power, and safeguards against government corruption.
This should not be treated as a partisan program. Americans across the political spectrum want safe communities, healthy families, meaningful work, affordable necessities, honest government, secure borders, personal freedom, and a country that is not controlled by either corporate monopolies or unelected bureaucracies.
Please create a bipartisan presidential commission with representatives from families, labor, small businesses, agriculture, medicine, science, disability communities, veterans, and local government. Charge it with producing specific legislation, executive actions, measurable goals, costs, and deadlines.
Please tell the public what actions your administration will take to guarantee every American a secure foundation from which to build a productive and meaningful life.
