Urgent Call to Action Regarding the Conduct of Kristi Noem

To: Sen. Moody, Sen. Scott, Rep. Rutherford

From: A constituent in Jacksonville, FL

June 13

I am writing as a concerned constituent to demand immediate action regarding the conduct of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Under her supervision, DHS has irreversibly harmed Americans. She has exploited her position as Secretary to weaponize enforcement to detain, deport, and violate people, allowing the department to operate with no regard for the rule of law. Under her leadership: Homeland officials and law enforcement have unlawfully broken into and forced people out of their homes. Children and women have been brutally abused in broad daylight. Immigrants, legal residents, and citizens alike have been disappeared without explanation or recourse. Millions of taxpayer dollars have been wasted on anti-immigrant propaganda campaigns. Individuals have been illegally detained in offshore prisons without due process. Children and women have been left vulnerable and without legal counsel. The criminalization of immigrants and the suppression of dissent have intensified, threatening the core principles of our democracy. Secretary Noem is running out of money to execute the horrors we are witnessing — and she is running out of excuses for these despicable actions. This is unacceptable. I urge you to support Secretary Noem’s resignation or, if she refuses to step down, to begin formal impeachment proceedings. The safety, dignity, and constitutional rights of millions — and the integrity of our democracy — depend on your action.
