The Senate is currently considering a proposal from President Trump to eliminate federal funding for NPR, PBS, and other public broadcasters. The administration has formally requested that Congress rescind $1.1 billion set aside for public broadcasting over the next two years.
The measure would cut off federal support channeled through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which provides crucial funding to over 1,500 local public TV and radio stations, including those in rural areas.
The cuts would have a “devastating impact” on local programming, emergency communications, and educational services, especially in rural communities.
Your constituents are asking you to VOTE NO on these cuts!
