Bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia Home!

To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Castro

From: A constituent in San Antonio, TX

April 15

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the wrongful deportation and ongoing detention of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident and legal permanent U.S. resident, who was sent to El Salvador in March 2025 due to what the Department of Homeland Security has admitted was an “administrative error”. Mr. Abrego Garcia was deported despite a 2019 immigration judge’s order granting him protected status and explicitly prohibiting his removal to El Salvador due to the risk of persecution. The U.S. Supreme Court has since ruled that the administration must “facilitate” his return, yet he remains imprisoned in a notorious Salvadoran facility. His family and community are gravely concerned for his safety and well-being. This situation is a clear violation of due process and human rights. I urge you to take all necessary actions to ensure that Mr. Abrego Garcia is immediately returned to his home and family in Maryland, as ordered by the courts. The United States must uphold its commitment to justice and the rule of law.
