Investigate Financial Conflicts Within the Trump Cabinet

To: Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego, Rep. Crane

Vice President Vance should investigate the $30 million in payments flowing from cabinet members to President Trump. If he's serious about rooting out fraud and corruption, he can start in the West Wing. A new CREW report shows that 20 out of 23 cabinet members have directed money to Trump since 2023 through political contributions, property visits, stock holdings, and donations to White House projects. Education Secretary Linda McMahon gave at least $20 million to Trump-aligned super PACs. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick contributed over $10 million. SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler and her husband gave more than $3 million combined. Attorney General Pam Bondi held over 106,000 shares in Trump Media and sold between $1 million and $5 million worth after confirmation. These officials didn't just support a candidate. They bought their way into the most powerful positions in government. McMahon and Lutnick were the largest donors to Trump's transition fund, which avoided federal limits by declining public funds. Seventeen cabinet members visited Trump properties during the appointment period, turning Mar-A-Lago into a pay-to-play headquarters. This is textbook corruption. Launch an investigation into these financial arrangements and recommend criminal referrals where appropriate.
