You're protecting pedophiles and we're sick of it
To: Sen. Justice, Sen. Capito
From: A constituent in Buckhannon, WV
July 4
Dear Elected Officials,
At this point, I would like to congratulate you on your continued dedication to making “public service” look like a customer-service hold line with worse outcomes.
People are exhausted. Groceries are unaffordable, healthcare is a maze, housing is out of reach, wages are not keeping up, and basic infrastructure is somehow still treated like a luxury item. Meanwhile, too many of you seem primarily focused on cable-news sound bites, donor wish lists, performative outrage, and pretending the public is too distracted to notice.
We notice.
We notice when you vote one way and explain it another. We notice when you blame everyone else while collecting a taxpayer-funded salary. We notice when you show up for ribbon cuttings but disappear when constituents need real answers. We notice when “fiscal responsibility” only applies to programs that keep regular people alive, housed, fed, and medically stable.
So here is the ask: do your actual jobs.
Represent your constituents, not your party bosses. Protect public money, public health, public infrastructure, public schools, and public trust. Stop treating basic governance like an optional side quest. Stop insulting people with empty statements about “values” while voting against the material needs of the people you were elected to serve.
We are tired of the excuses. We are tired of the theater. We are tired of being told to be patient while you move mountains for donors and give crumbs to everyone else.
The times are absurd. Your constituents are not.
