As you undoubtedly know, DOGE isn’t actually a new government agency — it takes an act of Congress to make that happen — and thus it doesn’t exercise the authority that a federal agency should have, like seeking access to sensitive data and systems. So then what authority does DOGE and Musk even have? And who enforces that authority?
If somebody exercises substantial authority of the United States, they have to do so because they were made an officer of the United States. Under the Constitution, an officer has to be nominated and confirmed by the Senate to a position that’s created by statute.
Therefore, as you should well know (and if you don't, then you aren't fit to hold these important offices), you are not upholding the constitution. You are threatening the very democracy that has made the US a "Shining Beacon in the Hill."
Do you job. Either pass legislation creating DOGE and confirm Musk through the senate or put a stop to this illegal activity by the executive branch. If you want to gut these other departments then pass a new budget.
If you can't get these things through congress, that means that Americans as a whole don't agree with you. Doing it anyway is tantamount to fascism. Are you, in fact, fascists? Or do you believe in democracy? History will not look favorably if you are the former.
