You recently signed into law a bill that removes protections for transgender people in the state’s civil rights code. “Today, I signed into law a bill that safeguards the rights of women and girls”. That is honestly the most blatant lie I have heard in a long while! You are not safeguarding anything! Today it’s trans rights, tomorrow it could be sexual orientation or skin color. Where is your moral decency? Have you no idea how harmful all this is to those who truly need to change sexes or who identify with another gender? Iowa seems to be slipping into a darker age of discrimination and darkness, thanks to you and the Republican Party.
