Senator Bernie Sanders just announced that he’s forcing a vote on Joint Resolutions of Disapproval (JRDs) to block President Trump’s $676 million weapons giveaway containing over 5,000 1,000-pound bombs and 7,000 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) bomb kits to Israel -- a weapons package funded by our taxpayer dollars -- as well as rifles used by the Israel military to shoot Palestinians trying to get food. Over 2 million Palestinians face unprecedented levels of starvation in Gaza because Israel continues to block aid and prevent international aid organizations from distributing food. Senators must use their leverage to force Israel to end its policy of forced starvation and genocide by blocking weapons to Israel. IMEU found that nearly 80% of all New York City Democratic voters support restricting weapons to Israel. And a Gallup poll showed that Americans oppose Israel’s actions in Gaza by a two-to-one margin. We urge you to stop and oppose genocide. Vote yes on S.J.Res.34 and S.J.Res.41 to block more weapons to Israel.
