It appears that the Trump administration is actually proceeding with plans to accept a $400 million jet from the Qatari government. This literally flies in the face of established ethics practices and the emoluments clause of Article 1, Section 9, Clause 8 of the US Constitution. If Joe Biden had attempted such a deal, Republican congressmen and women would have been drafting articles of impeachment. In this case, not a peep. The epitome of hypocrisy. Not to mention, all the other deals the President is involved in - donations by individuals and corporations to Trump’s inauguration fund to curry favor from this exceedingly transactional president, deals struck by foreign governments with the Trump Organization toward the same goals, the $TRUMP cryptocurrency. All with the same effect of lining Trump’s pockets, and all with serious negative impacts on national security. It makes me sick, as does the inaction of Congress to protect the US Constitution. Trump has clearly decided to daily ignore his oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, please do not do the same to your oath as well.
