Political and business leaders around the world are resigning due to their ties to Jeffrey Epstein, as exposed in his unredacted sex-trafficking files. Why is that not happening in the United States? Why is this Republican administration working so hard to block the unredacted files’ release? The files detail children as young as 9 being raped. In exchange for money. The crimes documented are among the most heinous acts anyone can commit. The focus must be on naming the perpetrators of abuse and ensuring their accountability. Perpetrators of sexual violence follow predictable patterns of escalation. These people have not and will not stop. The truth is coming out. Will you use your power as a member of Congress to aid the survivors and punish the perpetrators? Or will your, and Republicans’, legacy be that of protecting pedophiles for political favor? My wife and I strongly urge you to use your power to aid the victims and hold accountable anyone guilty of prostituting minors.
