You say you do not support the abolishment of ICE, and that "deporting criminals who pose a danger to our communities is common sense." Abolish ICE. This country survived 225 years without ICE, we can survive without them, now. Abolish ICE. In your form-letter response, did you mean to be vague about which "criminals"? You failed to specify whether these criminals are people who are here "illegally", permanent residents, visitors, or … citizens. Also remember, Senator, overstaying your visa is not a criminal offense; it is civil. Abolish ICE. We do not need masked, armed, and unidentified people under the guise of law enforcement rounding up whomever they wish, unleashing unnecessary violence and death upon them—85% of which, according to ICE's OWN NUMBERS, are not criminals and have no criminal record. ICE "officers" are not judge, jury, and executioner, despite their cosplay desires and real bloodlust. Abolish ICE. ICE is Donald Trump's secret police. They have no accoutability, nor do they desire it. They take no responsibility for their actions. They love this. Abolish ICE. How can citizens be expected to act without violence when the people who are supposed to protect them are violent towards them? Abolish ICE. The money spent on ICE can be better spent on other programs to non-violently assist people into and out of this country, and perhaps address some of the issues people run into which keeps them here outside of their visa or coming in undocumented.  Abolish ICE. Criminals and undocumented immigrants are people, too. They deserve to be treated with dignity and humanely. With strong emotions, this is difficult, however we are no better than the worst of the worst if we do not. Abolish ICE.
